how do i use the navigation menus?

  1. on the left hand side of every page, you will see a navigation menu. there are links provided to allow you to access each section of the website, including menus and the order online "pop-up menu". if you place your mouse over the "order online now!" button, a "pop-up menu" will appear. this "pop-up menu" allows access to the menu and catering order web pages.
  2. the bottom link on the "pop-up menu" provides access to the catering online order web pages and all of these order options will be delivered on platters. at the bottom of this page, access is provided to the "create-a-platter" web page and this allows the standard menu order options to be available for catering orders.

my shopping cart contains items that were in my last order and i cannot delete them. why not?

  1. this website is designed to delete all items that have been added to the shopping cart an hour or more previously. this is so that if you cancel your order and then return the next day to order again, you won't find all the items from the previous day in the shopping cart.
  2. also, when you complete your order, all of the items in the shopping cart are automatically deleted.
  3. if you do add items to your shopping cart and find it contains items from a previous order, then this is an indication that the cookie has become corrupted and will not be released from your cache. another possibility is that you have changed your internet browser security settings from medium to high and back again and this has affected your cookies. this may not be apparent whilst using other websites but this website stores all order data in a cookie therefore, it is vital that the system can read your cookies properly.
  4. to fix any such cookie problems, you will need to delete all items from your internet cache. you can do this by opening your interent browser. next, click on tools and then internet options on the top pull-down menu. click on the general tab on the internet options dialog box and then click on the "Delete Files... button" in the Temporary Internet files group and follow the prompts. this will clear out your cache and the problem will be resolved.

  4. next, fill in your details, payment method and order collection/delivery requirements.

  6. next, your are given the chance to review your details and order, prior to proceeding.
  7. if for any reason you need to modify any of your details, click on the "modify details button" and you will be given the chance to modify your details and resubmit them.
  8. if everything is satisfactory, you are forwarded to the send order web page, whereupon all delivery charges and vat are added to the total cost of the order, if applicable. this is your final chance to review the order.
  9. if everything is still satisfactory, click on the "send order button" and your order will be submitted.
  10. you will receive a receipt of your order via return email.

 


can i pay for my order using my credit card?

  1. yes, you can pay for your order using your credit card if you wish.
  2. you will be presented with a seperate credit card checkout page.
  3. you must fill in the details exactly as they appear on your credit card or else you will not be able to submit the form.
  4. the program will check that the credit card number you enter is a valid credit card number, prior to allowing you to submit the form.

i tried to checkout my order and keep getting this error message. why?

  1. the error message appears as follows "you currently have no items in your shopping cart. however, if you have recently placed an item in your shopping cart then it appears that your browser either has cookies disabled or it is an old browser that does not support cookies. you need to update to MS Internet Explorer 5+, or enable cookies in your browser settings".
  2. this message is only a concern if you have just placed an order in your shopping cart. as this website relies on the use of cookies, it may be caused by your browser being set to a high security level, thus diabling cookies.
  3. you can check your interent settings by opening your internet browser, clicking on "tools" and then "internet options..." from the drop-down menu. next, click the "security tab" on the internet options dialog box. the "internet zone" security settings should be set to "medium level". if this level is set to "custom level", it may mean that cookies have been disabled and this will mean that this web site will not function properly until you reset this. reset your "internet zone", security level to "medium".

 


when i try to print a page, the right-hand side of the page is missing. why?

  1. this is sometimes a problem when the printer margins are set too high. the printer will truncate one of the edges on some sites but not others.
  2. to fix this, open your internet browser and click on "file" and then "page setup" from the top drop-down menu. in the "page setup dialog box", reset the left, right, top and bottom margins to 5.00mm each.
  3. the web pages of this website should now print out correctly.

  1. the most likely reason is due to the fact that this website uses encoded javascript for greater security. not all browsers are 100% compatible with encoded javascript, hence the error messages.
